Rajko Radovic

It may seem, at first, that I am difficult to categorise - an artist or an athlete? Perhaps the simplest answer is...I am both!

"Music and songwriting is my passion... fitness and health is, for me, a way of life," ~ Rajko Radovic.

"The music I write is from the heart. When I'm composing I don't think to myself, 'I've got to write something meaningful', but when I look back on most of my songs I guess that's the thread that connects it all," ~ Rajko Radovic.

The Way of Dragan" written by world renowned fitness educator Dragan Radovic. At age 56, Dragan has astounded the fitness community by offering prizes of up to $10,000 to anyone who can beat him in a dumbbell lifting contest. In more than 5 years of public challenges at the world's leading fitness conventions, Dragan has never been defeated. He continues to increase his fitness and improve his performance every year. He attributes his incredible levels of vitality to his unique system of training, known as Fitness4x4. In his book, Dragan outlines the four principles of effective training. Now, in this 52-page Fitness 4x4 Training Guide, Dragan's son Rajko offers a practical guide to getting started on the Fitness4x4 training system. GigAid

"GigAid is something I'm really excited to be involved in because it's not in-your-face charity work, but it is really making a positive difference. The musician gets to play at an awesome gig and promote their talent, the audience get to hear great new/undiscovered music at normal gig prices, but then all that ticket money goes to a worthy cause and makes a really big difference to a small charity! For me there's nothing much more a gig can do..."
Rajko Event: GigAid - 'playing for the cause'
Date: Sunday 1st June 2008, 6pm
Venue: The Bedford in BalhamTickets: Limited tickets available. £6 via www.wegottickets.com (100% of ticket money going directly to the Clair Sadler Trust Fund for teenagers with Cancer)

USA Tour

~ By Kelly Will, columnist for the New York Daily News ~

"They say making it in America is the hardest thing a musician could ever hope to do. Not someone to turn away from a challenge, Rajko, unsigned and self-suffiicient, decided to 'take on the giant' in an independent 3month tour of the USA. Perhaps the numeorus and unrelenting challenges he faced on Last Man Standing were his encouragement that anything is possible, or perhaps simply his belief that an artist with passion and something to say cannot fail - either way, Rajko's tour was a bold effort by an entrepreneurial musician and took him from West coast to East Coast and some fine venues along the way.The tour was supported by Rajko's long time band Nik Ironside wood on accompanying guitar, and Adrianne Winninsky on Cello. Full details, photos, recording and video footage of the tour is soon to appear on www.rajkomusic.com Review of Rajko's performance at New York's 'The Cutting Room'."It's unusual to find a musician whose good looks can be outdone by his music - thankfully, Rajko delivers the whole package onstage. His voice, charisma and spiritual yet lovey-dovey lyrics will leave you eating out of the palm of his hand. On the song Time, he requests "just a little more" of the title. Hearing it live will leave you wanting a little more Rajko. The man writes his own music, looks like a movie star and sounds like a rock star."

Last Man Standing

Last Man Standing - Six Intrepid Athletes, Eight Ancient
Sporting Festivals - ONE VICTOR!
(Rajko Radovic, 3rd from left)

My name is Rajko Radovic and I'm a musician and fitness professional. I've played college level volleyball and basketball both in UK and US, but care just as much about writing songs and performing on stage. I never travel anywhere without a guitar.
My goal is to perfect myself - in mind, spirit, and body. I used both my physical and mental strength to break a world record in endurance Dumbbell Curl.
I never enter anything without believing I can win, and my combination of strength and aerobic fitness made me a powerful all-round competitor in Last Man Standing.

In the documentary, Last Man Standing, six athletes, three American and three British, are immersed in the most remote tribes in the world, where we live alongside and train with indigenous tribes people as we prepare to represent our host tribe in raw and intense competition. From death-defying Zulu stick fighting in South Africa to an arduous foot race in the Mexican mountains, wearing only handmade sandalstook, we pushed our physical and mental limits to see who would be the last warrior standing. We travelled across the world to 12 remote tribes and met people that I would never have dreamed I'd get a chance to meet. It took almost a year and a half to film and was life-changing in many many ways.

Between trips I continued recording my albums and on location I was always performing to tribesmen and getting a lot of inspiration from them.
